Anchor 1

➤Toddler [1½ - 2½ years]

 A multi-age classroom is a hallmark of a Montessori preschool that gives children many unique learning opportunities. Younger children naturally learn by emulating children who are older than themselves, and the Montessori classroom takes advantage of it. Younger children watch their older peers model how to participate in the classroom learning activities, how to engage with the teacher and their peers, and how to move from one activity to the next.

  • Provide a safe, engaging and nurturing environment for the child

  • Promote trust in themselves and their world

  • Develop confidence in their emerging abilities

  • Develop gross motor coordination, fine motor skills, and language skills

  • Offer opportunities to gain independence in daily tasks

Anchor 2

➤Pre-School [2½ - 4 years]

•Offers children a head-start on their education

•Each child learns at his or her own pace

•Children learn social skills, daily living skills, math, language, and other traditional courses

 

•Doing simple tasks by themselves which develops a sense of responsibility at a young age.

•Children interact with others of different ages, creating an environment where younger students can learn from the older children, and older children have the opportunity to take the lead

•Development of senses.

•Practical life learning, that is learning by sight and touch, which thereby boosts the child's brain and understanding.

•Learning through reading through phonics, which allows the child to read at a young age.

•Learning using Montessori material teaching.

 

•English language taught by foreign teachers.

•The teacher gives all her attention to every single student individually, ie. one on one teaching.

➤Kindergarten [4 - 6 years]

For children aged 4 to 6 years 

  • Foster the growth of functional independence, task persistence, and self-regulation

  • Promote social development through respectful, clear communication and safe, natural consequences

  • Contains a large variety of materials for the refinement of sensory perception and the development of literacy and mathematical understanding

  • Offer opportunities for imaginative exploration leading to confident, creative self-expression

➤Primary Classes [6 - 12 years]

(Lower Elementary- 6 to 9 years; Upper Elementary- 9 to 12 years) (ICSE)

  • Offer opportunities for collaborative intellectual exploration in which the child’s interests are supported and guided

  • Support the development of self-confidence, imagination, intellectual independence and self-efficacy

  • Foster an understanding of the child’s role in their community, in their culture and in the natural world
